JAPANESE TEMPLE LANTERN

Japanese copper alloy temple lantern with green patina. The lantern supported on a hexagonal base with down turned cabriole legs, hinged door and sides with grid pattern and two pierced plum blossom designs. Roof in the form of Shinto shrine with guardians along roof edge and bells hanging from eaves. Late Edo Period C. 1800. Dimensions: 13" high x 13" wide x 13" deep
